Emergency Public Notice of Board
The State of Oregon has declared a State of Emergency due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Oregon Public Meeting Law allows public bodies to meet entirely remotely as long as reasonable public access is afforded so that the public can follow along with any Board deliberations. Therefore, to comply with and promote physical social separation guidelines currently in place at the federal and state level, and to comply with State of Oregon ExecutiveOrder # 20-12, the Santiam Water Control Board President has consulted with theSantiam Water Control District General Manager and directed that, until further notice, Board Meeting attendance will be telephonic only. Members of the public who wish to“attend and listen” to Board Meeting deliberations should do so by contacting the District office and requesting a call-in number and pin, at least 24 hours prior to the designated time of an announced Board Meeting.Individuals who wish to “attend and listen” to Board meeting deliberations but who do not have the ability to call in by phone at that time should contact the District Office Manager at least forty-eight hours prior to the noticed meeting time by phone at (503) 769-2669 or by email at email@example.com for special accommodations.Should any member of the public wish to be placed on a Santiam Water Control District Board Meeting Agenda to speak and be heard, they shall contact the General Manager by email at firstname.lastname@example.org at least forty-eight hours prior to the noticed meeting time and request to be placed on the agenda.
The agenda for any regular Board Meeting will be posted to the District’s front office door and website at least 48 hours in advance of any public meeting, per normal protocol. Further, all upcoming Board Meeting dates, times, and location(s) (call-in numbers or potential web meeting URLs), as well as all agendas, and approved minutes are kept
